September 17, 2018:- The Ministry of Trade and Industry’s Permanent Secretary Mr. Norris Herbert delivered 20 boxes of stationery and household items donated by staff of the Ministry on Friday 14th September, 2018 to the Casa de Corazon Children’s Home in Sangre Grande. The Ministry is implementing a twelve month programme to assist identified homes as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility project.
The home’s Manager, Ms. Candice Williams during the handing over exercise, expressed appreciation for the support received. The donations will ensure that the fifteen (15) children at the home obtain necessities along with the care provided by the custodians at the home. She identified several immediate needs for which the Ministry has committed to lend assistance. The Ministry will be working diligently to support the home this regard.
