TTBizLink

TTBizLink, the first Single Electronic Window (SEW) in the Caribbean, is a secure business portal that provides 24/7 access to applications for various trade, business and investment services, by linking multiple partners via a single electronic platform. It is accessible at www.info.ttbizlink.gov.tt. Applications submitted online are automatically routed to the relevant approving agency for electronic processing. The agency then communicates with the applicant electronically on the status of the application, indicating whether it has been approved, rejected or queried. For the 25 e-services which require a payment, this is done online via TTBizLink’s Online Payment facility. Furthermore, approval documents are received electronically, thereby ensuring seamless transactions for trade, business, and investment.

TTBizLink represents partnership with Government Agencies from ten (10) Ministries, together with the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce (TTCIC) and the Tobago House of Assembly (THA). Registration for TTBizLink is spearheaded by ttconnect, which falls under the Ministry of Public Administration and Artificial Intelligence. TTBizLink also has connectivity with three key platforms: (i) ASYCUDA, the Automated System for Customs Data, managed by the Customs and Excise Division, Ministry of Finance; DevelopTT, the Automated Construction Permitting System, managed by the Town and Country Planning Division, Ministry of Planning, Economic Affairs and Development; and (iii) PortLink, the Port Community System, managed by this Ministry.

On TTBizLink, registrants can access fifty-three (53) e-applications that are currently used by over five thousand (5,000) companies, over forty-one thousand (41,000) individuals and 380 approvers from the various administering agencies.

TTBizLink also contains an information arm, the Trade and Business Information Portal (TBIP). The TBIP is an integral component of TTBizLink, providing access to multiple tools and resources related to trade, business, and investment. This includes access to:

  • Regulatory requirements for starting or expanding a business.
  • Customised tools developed by the International Trade Centre (ITC) which enable companies to identify export and import opportunities, compare market-access requirements, monitor national trade performance and make well-informed trade decisions.
  • An updated list of 46 Investment Incentives offered across the whole-of-government, across eight (8) sectors: Agriculture, Creative, Education, Energy, Manufacturing, Sports, Tobago and Tourism.
  • Step-by-step guidance on how to import and export goods.
  • An HS Code & Tariff Finder which allows users to search for the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) tariff rates for commodities imported into Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Legislation, trade agreements, bilateral investment treaties, double taxation treaties, and other legal reference documents pertaining to trade and business.

TTBizLink, therefore, continues to pave the way for further promoting and entrenching excellence in government service delivery to the trade and business community in Trinidad and Tobago, and indeed to external investors.
