The Management and Staff of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) is saddened by the sudden passing of Vernelle Harewood on Friday 29th October, 2021.

Vernelle was a dedicated and life-giving member of the MTI family who was greatly appreciated for her commitment to customer service.

The MTI extends its condolences to the relatives and friends of Mrs. Vernelle Harewood.

May her beautiful soul rest in peace.

    Condolences to the family of Vernelle, just reading all the comments have me tearing up, she was a very, very, very pleasant person, the life of the party, for the time I have known Vernelle I NEVER saw her angry or in a bad mood.     As an employee of the Ministry of Trade and industry, i am saddened by the beautiful memories shared by friends/colleagues in remembrance of Vernelle. I did not had any personal interactions with Vernelle per say but one thing i can agree with though, is that she sure had the most pleasant smile and welcoming spirit.

    Death knows no time nor does it comfort… I share my deepest condolences to the friends and family of Vernelle in this time of misfortune. May her soul rest in eternal peace… May the memories of her positive energy comfort your hearts.

    Vernelle had an infectious laugh, a natural creative and competitve soul that had a way of meshing with any group. Her heartful desire to provide exceptional service and general passion for her work was undeniable. She enjoyed the simple and gourmet, secret Santa added to her love of Christmas but nothing surpassed her love culture, namely Carnival and Emancipation.

    Your smile, love of intrigue and birthday celebration would be dearly missed. Sleep in Peace Vee!
