The Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism is once again proud to sponsor the “Internationally Known T&T Owned Company of the Year” Award, as part of the 2025 Champions of Business Awards. This year’s event is being held under the inspiring theme, “Building Legacies.”

Speaking at the official media launch at the Leon Agostini Conference Hall, Chamber Building, Deputy Permanent Secretary (DPS), Mrs. Ava Mahabir-Dass, emphasized the Ministry’s continued commitment to celebrating outstanding local companies that have built strong brands and distinguished themselves both locally and internationally.

“This award recognizes a local company that has performed exceptionally, demonstrated resilience, and made its mark on the global stage. The Ministry is proud to continue supporting this initiative,” stated DPS Mahabir-Dass.

Reaffirming the Government’s dedication to empowering local businesses, she added, “The Government remains fully committed to expanding trade, driving investment, deepening private sector involvement, creating employment opportunities, and boosting tourism. The Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism stands unwavering in its mission to foster an enabling environment where business can thrive.”

Looking ahead, DPS Mahabir-Dass underscored the vital role of the business community in shaping Trinidad and Tobago’s economic future. “As we chart a course toward sustainable economic growth, we are reminded that the strength of our nation lies in the ingenuity, resilience, and boldness of our business community. Champions of Business 2025 is not just a celebration—it is a call to action. A call for our businesses to rise and lead with purpose. A call for continued partnership between the private sector and the Government to realize a shared vision of prosperity.”
