The Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism (MTTI) is pleased to announce the launch of its enhanced HS Code and Tariff Finder, which is now accessible for the preparation of all applications on the Single Electronic Widow (SEW) for Trade and Business Facilitation – TTBizLink, requiring the associated information.
This refinement provides the platforms 40,000 plus registered importers, exporters, brokers and regulatory agencies with the increased accuracy and efficiency in selecting the appropriate HS Codes for applications related to Certificates of Origin, Good Declarations and Permits and Licences. It is also linked to details of the Most-Favoured-Nation tariff rates for imports and the eligible preferential rates and rules of origin for the country’s Preferential Trade Agreements.
Finally, Intelligent Search allows users to find answers by description or HS Code, navigate results across the HS classification hierarchy, and find HS codes for other countries. The enhanced HS Code and Tariff Finder is another major refinement to the platform which will reduce errors and improve overall efficiency in the preparation and processing of applications.
