Minister Gopee-Scoon stated that the Government sees Regus’ opening as an investment in the Services sector which is quite significant as it promotes business, trade and investment and overall economic growth. The Services sector continues to exude tremendous potential and contributes positively to the growth and sustainable development of our economy. The Trade Minister identified several short to medium term government projects currently underway which are aimed at re-energizing business in south Trinidad and ultimately creating additional employment opportunities. She said “Regus’ expansion into San Fernando also signals confidence in the expansion of the economic activity in the Southern part of the country. The decision to expand here is a true indication of the appeal that South Trinidad and the broader Trinidad and Tobago has to global and local companies. The opening is a clarion call to other private sector entities that South Trinidad has numerous lucrative opportunities and is indeed open for business”.
