Senator the Honourable Paula Gopee-Scoon, Minister of Trade and Industry received a farewell courtesy call from His Excellency Song Yumin, outgoing Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China on Tuesday 16 June, 2020. His Excellency Song Yumin, who assumed office in August 2016, reflected on several positive outcomes in the last four years in respect of trade, development and cooperation which testify to the very strong bond between Trinidad and Tobago and the People’s Republic of China.
Minister Gopee-Scoon highlighted increased exports to China and the significant infrastructural projects which the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago has embarked on in collaboration with the People’s Republic of China. The Trade and Industry Minister conveyed appreciation to the Ambassador for his valuable contribution and service towards bolstering the bilateral relationship between both countries.
