Trade Ministry coordinates further support to the Eastern Caribbean

The Government of Trinidad and Tobago through the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Works and Transport, Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Ministry of National Security and the private sector continues to work on relief efforts to the Eastern Caribbean.

A shipment destined to Grenada is now expected to depart today, Friday 05 July, 2024 aboard the Galleons Passage. This follows shipments sent to Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Wednesday 03 June 2024. The items included in these shipments are medical supplies, mattresses, water and juices, canned goods, tarpaulins and construction materials.

The Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries through the Paria Fuel Trading Company has also arranged a shipment of fuel to Grenada.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry is pleased to be a part of this humanitarian effort with the support of the private sector and is committed to assisting our CARICOM neighbours during this time challenging time.
